MULTIPLE HAND GRIP SYSTEM
A system designed for mass transport systems such as subway train cars, trams, public transit buses, streetcars, trolley buses etc.
The "Multiple Hand Grip System" is installed to cover the slippery steel hand-support pipes installed in the mass transport systems. This exterior gripping means of the system conforms to the shapes of riders' left and right hand fingers.
The system is molded from plastic material such that the high coefficient of friction and moldability of the material result in non-slippery convenient, comfortable friction, and safe hand grips for both left and right hands of the transit users. It is ideal for use by everyone, especially the elderly, and for those with limited hand and physical dexterity.
The invented gripping device provides improved safety and may even help save lives and reduce injuries in event of an accident or sudden shifts of the vehicles. It allows the users to comfortably grip and support themselves to improve safety for the passengers. It has a pleasing design appearance. It is environmentally safe and is recyclable.
American Public Transit Association, Washington, DC, New York City Transit, and Toronto Transit Commission, have written to me showing their interest in "Multiple Hand Grip System".
On August 11, 1995, there was an accident in Toronto Transit System. Two subway trains collided with each other. Few people died, hundreds were injured, and hundreds of others have been suffering from shock since the day they were thrown away from the seats they were sitting on, or from the spots they were standing on, due to the impact of the colliding trains. Because there is nothing to hold on to during the accident or sudden shifts of the vehicles, other than slippery steel hand-support pipes, therefore the accident resulted in deaths as well as injuries to subway train riders. This type of accidents are not uncommon in North America and other parts of the world.
I believe that it is a very valuable invention and can develop into A Billion-Dollar Industry worldwide. Once it has been developed in North America, it will be in demand in European Union, Japan, Asia and other countries of the world.
Marketing - Local Transit Personnels who are very much supportive of the "Multiple Hand Grip System" advised me that I should manufacture about 20 Multiple Hand Grip Systems, install them in a Subway Train Car. And within few days it would catch the attention of the Transit Authorities all over North America.
