Oregon Entrepreneurs Forum
The Oregon Entrepreneurs Forum (OEF) is one of 18 worldwide chapters of MIT. A not-for-profit corporation formed in 1991, OEF's mission is "opening doors" for Oregon entrepreneurs and improving the climate for emerging, growth-oriented Oregon companies by improving the flow of ideas, services and capital to entrepreneurs and helping connect companies to expertise and other resources.

In the Fall of 1997, OEF merged with Oregon Young Entrepreneurs Association and formed the largest entrepreneur assistance organization in the state of Oregon. We also changed our organization name to the Oregon Entrepreneurs Forum to reflect the merging of the two organizations visions, ideas and volunteers. OEF remains dedicated to helping the growth of a diversified Oregon economy with a new generation of entrepreneurial leaders who are set to launch an economically healthy Oregon into the next century.

OEF's membership consists of entrepreneurs from throughout the state plus business professionals in finance, law, marketing and management who donate time and provide constructive advice to assist entrepreneurs who are starting new ventures or expanding their businesses. To assist with our yearly "special events", OEF is also supported on an annual basis by a number of Pacific Northwest based companies.

OEF provides regular networking, idea-sharing and educational opportunities on a bi-monthly basis (Public Luncheon Forums, Speakeasys and Pub Talks). In the past five years, more that 5,100 emerging growth businesses, entrepreneurs and OEF members have participated in OEF programs -- and it's growing.

The Oregon Entrepreneurs Forum also sponsors three special events each year, assisted by Northwest based corporate sponsorships. OEF will host the Oregon Conference on Entrepreneurship in May, 1999 at the Hilton Hotel in downtown Portland. Plan now to attend our premier event, the annual "Oregon Entrepreneur Awards" Dinner and Ceremony in September of 1999 at the Oregon Convention Center and OEF will once again host the very popular "Venture Oregon" Conference in October, 1999, at the downtown Portland Marriott Hotel.
