Venture Club of Louisville
200 members, founded in 1995, provides a forum in which entrepreneurs seeking financial support gain access to people who have capital to invest in businesses. Each month selected business owners are afforded the opportunity to make a five-minute pitch to the Venture Club; investors get to listen for a deal that interests them. Typical requests for capital range between $50,000 and $5,000,000.  Monthly meetings are every first Wednesday from noon till 1:30 PM at the Seelbach, 4th & Muhammad Ali Blvd. Each meeting features a number of 7-Minute Presenters and 1-Minute Announcers who share information about their offering and need for capital. A guest speaker wraps up the planned agenda, and discussions among all comers are held before and after the meeting. Membership is $250/year. Anyone may attend for $25/luncheon.
